We're listing our favorite boots of fall 2020! We love every new season of styles, but boots have a special place in our Northeastern hearts. From combat to western to a timeless all-terrain chelsea, our love of boots is endless --- and this season's elevated styles do not disappoint. If there's one braid woven through this year, it's that anything goes, comfort is key and functionality is a must. Lucky for all of us, our favorite brands (and the fashion gods) have blended all of these things into sleek, sophisticated ankle-showcasing silhouettes that can be worn to, from and at any occasion. And if you live in a place fortuitously having inclement weather on the daily, you'll be happy to know that almost all of our boots feature a hefty lug sole with a hint of height.

COMBAT or BIKER BOOT
The biker boot didn't just trickle in, it was a stampede. This edgy and classic style is one of our favorite's this year. It adds an element of cool to any outfit and it's functionality during the snowy seasons is top-notch. This super luxe version of the modern combat boot from Homers is lightweight, super comfortable and very versatile. Pair with anything from relaxed jeans and a tie-dye hoodie to faux leather leggings and blazer.
WHITE HOT
Who would have thought that we'd be wearing white after labor day and ON OUR FEET?! Crazy town. But we're here for this crisp white trend that calls attention to our secret love of vintage Dr. Martin vibes and adds an ultra fresh element to any fall or winter outfit. This Ilse Jacobsen white platform boot features a solid black lug sole, clean white upper and soft black stretch gore.
LACE UP
Whether you're channeling the Victorian era or are into alpine style, laces on boots are in - and v functional.
Our favorite lace-up boot of the season is undeniably this gorgeous square toed, sleek leather boot with stacked white and tan contrasting sole. The stature of a combat boot with the sophistication of a menswear inspired boot. It's a look we're here for. But we can't deny our alpine roots! The Jenna Hiker is a lace-up hiker with elegant calf-hair and leather upper and rugged lug sole.
WESTERN
A little bit country. A little bit rock and roll. That's how we prefer or updated western style ankle boots. With a nod to the classic styles of cowboy boots, these pointy-toed silhouettes are the perfect combination of new and old, featuring timeless stitching and pattern placement, curved stacked heels, and modern ankle grazing heights. Add an element of interest with an allover calf-hair leopard print if you're feeling extra bold. Yeehaw.
CLASSIC CHELSEA and ANKLE BOOT
We can't overlook this wardrobe essential. The Chelsea boot is both fashion and function at it's best and has become the boot we go to, year after year. With a minimalist appeal, the chelsea style boot, whether suede or leather, is perfect for every day. Double elastic gore makes on-and-off easy and a moderate lug sole is rugged yet feminine.
