Introducing Miu Miu, Prada’s “little sister”, to Green Envy!
Miu Miu, founded in 1992 by Micuccia Prada, is the sister label to Prada. Miu Miu derives from Micuccia Prada’s family nickname which encompasses its more youthful, playful and affordable label.
Their collection focuses on the daily life of women and emphasizes the emotional and undeniable power of clothes. Miu Miu continues to prove to be a brand that is way more than just a well-known designer brand’s sibling! With an independent identity from Prada, this name is one of the leading luxury labels in the world!
When it comes to sustainability Miu Miu’s Upcycled collection features a series of eco-minded initiatives. In December 2020, a special collection of vintage dresses transformed by Miu Miu were carefully sourced from vintage clothing stores and markets worldwide. This included its Re-Nylan range made from regenerated fishing nets and other waste.
In April 2021, Miu Miu unveiled its new collaboration with Levi’s that reinterprets a selection of classic denim pieces. Miu Miu is also a signatory of the Fashion Pact which is a commitment to eliminate greenhouse-gas emissions by 2050, reduce single-use plastics by 2030 and support innovation to stop microfiber pollution.
