Summer Officially Starts. Let's Keep It Easy.
It is officially summer and I have one goal: keep it easy. Low key. Relaxed. The kind of getting dressed that does not require any real thought.
Here is where I’m landing: Stick to staples. Good fabrics, flattering and forgiving cuts, pieces that feel as good as they look. Take the trends that work for you, skip the rest. Lean into colors and shapes that actually flatter you. The pieces you reach for again and again are the ones worth having.
Fashion is not supposed to be stressful. The rules are loose. Dress for yourself. Wear what you want.
My pieces for summer: white and black tees, flowy elastic waist pants in linen, cotton and silk, my long cotton shorts, black and sometimes brown slide on sandals, a great raffia bag, big sunnies that make makeup optional, a button-down or light sweater to tie around my waist or throw over my shoulders, and a do-all black dress that goes anywhere and handles the heat.
Less effort, more style. Wear what you want.
And if you ever want help putting it together, you know where to find me.
xox, Liz
