The Belt. Do Not Leave Home Without One.

For a while I walked away from belts entirely. Then quietly, they pulled me back in. I retired the old ones, invested in a few new ones and I cannot believe I waited this long. It is the detail I reach for every single day and honestly one of the most underrated pieces in your wardrobe right now.

Here is what I tell everyone: you do not need a lot. A couple of really good ones is all it takes. One great brown or tan, one great black. Suede, leather, cowhide — texture matters. A good buckle matters. The rest takes care of itself.

Wear it on your jeans, trousers, your dresses. Belt a blazer. Thread it through a shirtdress. The right belt in a beautiful leather or suede makes everything look more finished and intentional. It is the kind of thing you notice when it is there and miss when it is not.

My picks:

Lastly, consider your jewelry when choosing a buckle. Not matching exactly but making sure they are speaking the same language. Gold and brass if you wear warm tones. Silver if you lean cool. Small detail, big difference.

Invest in one or two that work with everything. You will reach for them every day.

Less effort. More style.

Wear what you want.
