TOM FORD
Tom Ford was born in Austin, Texas but spent most of his childhood in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Now a teenager, Ford was ready to allow his creativity to shine.
He moved to New York and got his degree at Parson School and Design. Moving to Milan in 1990, Ford joined Gucci as a womenswear designer. Already a dream for many designers, Ford’s success was just getting started. In 1994 he was appointed the creative director of Gucci. During Ford’s ten years, Gucci sales increased from 230 million dollars to almost 3 billion dollars! After making Gucci one of the largest and most profitable luxury brands in the world he announced his own brand Tom Ford in 2005.

On top of all of Ford’s fashion design expertise, he also is passionate about working towards sustainability. He is committed to ocean health and sustainability by inspiring innovative, creative solutions globally. He added a new material that serves the same purpose and thin-film plastic without poisoning the ocean. For every 100 ocean plastic timepieces sold, 490 pounds of plastic waste from entering the ocean is permanently removed and prevented.
