Meet Arlo Mott: The New York Brand Worth Knowing

There's a certain kind of woman who has a full closet and nothing to wear. Not because she lacks good taste, but because she's accumulated a lot of statement pieces without enough of the right foundations to hold them together. Arlo Mott was built for her.

The New York brand launched in early 2025, founded by three industry veterans: Karen Drexler, Susan Woo, and Alex Drexler. Karen came up through buying and merchandising. Susan spent her career at Derek Lam and Chanel. Alex also runs Alex Mill. Together, they work out of a TriBeCa apartment with a simple brief: tightly edited collections for busy lives, designed and mostly made in New York from Italian cashmere and Portuguese poplin. So, a baby on paper, but a powerhouse in the industry in practice.

The name is personal. "Arlo" was what Alex and Karen almost named their daughter (they landed on Frankie), but the meaning, strength and resilience, carries through every piece. "Mott" is a nod to Mott Street in downtown Manhattan, where they've always gone to discover new brands.

Women's Wear Daily covered Arlo Mott earlier this year, noting the brand had doubled its wholesale accounts from fall to spring, landing at specialty stores in its first year. For a brand this new, that's a real sign of growth and a brand that has a foundation to stand on.

What We're Carrying at Coco Goose from Arlo Mott

We brought Arlo Mott in because it fills a gap that we've noticed: pieces that are genuinely elevated without being fussy. It's honestly what we boast the most at Coco Goose. From Nili Lotan to Closed to Rag & Bone - it's laid back, luxury pieces that you reach for over and over again. And Arlo Mott fits right in with the rest of the crew.

Let's dive into the pieces that we have at a combination of our Burlington, Stowe, Manchester Center, and Providence locations. Shop the full curation at shopcocogoose.com.

The Watts Side Button Shirt in White ($365) is the poplin shirt the brand built its name on. Named after a New York street (see the through line here?), crisp Portuguese cotton, side button detail (swoon) that gives it shape without trying too hard.

The Clarkson Short Sleeve Crewneck in Navy ($415), Warren Classic Crew Neck in Grey ($395), and Penn Roll Neck Top in Beige ($425) are all Italian cashmere. Simple silhouettes that let the fabric do the talking and just enough structure to keep it relaxed, but super sleek.

The Gates Full Midi Skirt in Rose Stripe and Khaki ($315) is Portuguese poplin with front pleats, a drawstring waist, and a full midi length that works for almost everything. The rose stripe is the one I'm reaching for personally. The khaki is the one you'll still be wearing in September. It suggests classic but screams modern.

The Leroy Flat Front Barrel Pants in Khaki ($395) are the trouser you didn't know you needed: barrel leg, flat front, clean and modern. The kind of pants that make the rest of your outfit look intentional. And, this style is a fan favorite of our in house style experts. Pair with sneakers, loafers, a flip flop - anything goes.

Arlo Mott is a brand worth paying attention to early. Shop the full collection at shopcocogoose.com or stop by any of our four stores in Burlington, Stowe, Manchester Center, or Providence.
